After a few hints about what a future, all-pedestrian Times Square might look like, the city yesterday released reNEWable Times Square, its Request for Proposals for a temporary Times Square redesign. Archpaper has the details, and they’re lookin’ a little scant: designers may propose using “no more than four colors” in a “legible and unified scheme.” (Well, at least one city official did suggest polka dots.)
